Job summary

Houle is recruiting a Project Manager/Estimator in Victoria, BC, to join the Project Delivery group. You will identify opportunities, estimate projects, review contracts, and manage financials while coordinating with clients, suppliers and field staff.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in electrical PM/estimating, strong communication, and proficiency with Procore and AutoCAD. Flexible work options and a comprehensive benefits package support work–life balance.

Qualifications

• Electrical trades certificate or higher degree/diploma related to electrical projects.
• 3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating.
• Experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close-out.
• Experience with estimating programs; Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) is a plus.
• Strong computer proficiency: MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD, Teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.

About this role

We are recruiting for a Project Manager/Estimator to join our Project Delivery group in Victoria focused on projects across the island.

Your responsibilities

• Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities
• Estimate projects and submit tenders
• Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
• Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
• Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed
• Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations
• Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges
• Review the project at completion with the supervisor and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges

Your experience and skills

• Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate
• 3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating
• Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close out
• Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro and Change Order) an asset
• Strong computer proficiency with MS Office, Procore, AutoCAD, Teams, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to understand customer's needs
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Strong communication, and team collaboration skills

Salary range

Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
