Job summary

Walmart Canada in Pembroke, ON is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the Deli and Bakery areas. You will stock, zone shelves, rotate stock, and ensure accurate pricing and labeling, including handling hot foods and bakery items.

The role involves following temperature controls, cold chain procedures, and other food safety guidelines, supporting order placement and display preparation as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
