Job summary

Walmart Canada in Campbell River is hiring a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service, zone and stock the Deli/Bakery area, and assist with order fulfillment.

You will operate rotisserie, prepare deli orders, bake and thaw bakery items following guidelines, and ensure proper signing, pricing, and cold chain practices.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by thawing and baking guidelines to ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

Position Summary...

A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What You’ll Do...

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.70.
