Job summary

Walmart Canada in Calgary seeks a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas and assisting with stocking and sales.

The role involves zoning the department, rotating stock, ensuring proper signing and pricing, and following cold chain standards. You will prepare deli and bakery items and support daily operations at the Calgary location.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and products are in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
