Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Winkler, MB to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli area. The role involves stocking, shelving, and assisting with the sale of deli and bakery goods.

You will ensure correct pricing and labeling and follow standard cold-chain procedures. The position starts at a minimum hourly rate of $16.45 CAD, with a typical shift in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
