Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Barrie, ON to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining and stocking the Deli and Bakery areas. You will assist with inventory, pricing, and food preparation to ensure quality and appearance of products for display.

The role involves adhering to food safety and cold chain standards, rotating stock, and assisting customers with orders and merchandising tasks.

Age – 16 or older

Responsibilities

Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location.
Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
