Job summary

Walmart Canada in Kingston is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli areas and assisting with stocking and sales. You will zone the department, rotate stock, ensure proper signing and pricing, and follow food-safety standards for cold chain, temperature logs, and expiration dates.

This role supports deli and bakery operations, including preparing hot foods, rotisserie chicken, and bakery items, with a minimum starting hourly

Qualifications

• Age - 16 or older

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to keep product shelves, tables and bunkers organized and in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
