Dawson College seeks a Dean of Academic Systems reporting to the Academic Dean. This role leads planning systems for teaching and learning environments, directing staffing allocation and coordinating with HR and fellow Deans to support enrolment projections and curriculum changes.
The Dean also oversees Registrar’s Office functions including scheduling, admissions, records transmission to the Ministry, and graduation processes, with emphasis on complex budgeting and financial systems.
NATURE OF THE WORK:
Reporting to the Academic Dean, the Dean of Academic Systems is responsible for the College’s systems for planning and organizing the teaching and learning environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
An undergraduate degree in an appropriate specialization, such as business administration or information systems, and a minimum of six (6) years relevant experience, preferably including three years in a management position in post-secondary academic administration.
CONDITIONS
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to engage in complex systems thinking and to act effectively in situations of ambiguity and uncertainty.
