Job summary

Niagara College Canada is seeking a Dean to provide academic and administrative leadership across the division, ensuring programs meet accreditation, relevance and quality standards.

The successful candidate will oversee planning, development and delivery of all programs and facilities, collaborate on new college programs, and act as an ambassador to foster community and donor partnerships. A Master’s degree and 9+ years of leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant leadership area.
  • Minimum 9 years of progressive leadership experience in business or public sector settings and a post-secondary academic environment.
  • Excellent communication, management, human relations and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle student and faculty complaints and deliver public presentations.
  • PhD in a relevant subject area and Ontario College system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sound academic and administrative leadership to the divisional leadership team.
  • Ensure planning, development and delivery of all programs and facilities within the Division.
  • Collaborate to develop new College programs and services aligned with the College’s strategic plans.
  • Lead development and implementation of new academic programs.
  • Foster strong partnerships with community members and donors and act as Niagara College’s ambassador.
  • Oversee divisional teaching, learning, service, financial and strategic processes to support student success.

Job requirement
