Job summary

Associate Dean – School of Business

Overview

Nipissing University invites applications for the on‑campus position of Associate Dean, School of Business. The role will support the Dean in implementing the University’s and the School’s strategic, academic, and operational plans and in shaping the future direction of the School’s programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic academic leadership for all programs in the School of Business.
  • Support the Dean in the development and achievement of academic goals and objectives.
  • Shape the future direction of the School’s programs, including interdisciplinary offerings across the University.
  • Promote innovative research and teaching across all programs and elevate the Faculty’s profile inside and outside the university.
  • Foster and develop partnerships to meet the educational, research, and innovation agenda of the University and the North Bay region.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in all aspects of leadership, decision‑making, and interactions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a doctoral degree in Business or a closely related field.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible management experience in a university environment.
  • Record of progressive administrative responsibility within a university setting.
  • Superior analytical, organizational, managerial, and leadership skills with the ability to see the bigger picture for the long‑term benefit of the School and the University.
  • Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills; energetic and dynamic leadership style.
