Job summary

Kids & Company in Calgary is seeking a part-time Driver to support our operations with early-morning deliveries and a friendly service posture at our childcare locations. You will load vans, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and follow routes with safety as a priority.

A clean driving record and ability to lift 50+ lbs are required, with background checks and potential medical assessment. Candidates with daycare experience are encouraged; the role is on-site in Calgary with Monday–Friday morning

Qualifications

• Minimum 25 years of age.
• 3+ years of driving or work-related experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Background check and may require a medical assessment.
• Excellent physical condition: able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Experience in a daycare setting is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries: Load vans according to manifests; assist others; follow the route and schedule to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Vehicle maintenance and cleaning: keep vehicle and cargo spaces clean; report issues immediately; inspect lights and wear and tear daily.
• Delivery equipment returns: clean bags and equipment; organize for use the next day.

Salary Range: CA$18.00 To CA$19.00 Hourly

Driver (Part-Time)

Location: Calgary , AB
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 :00 AM to 10:00 AM

Job Description

Reporting to the Head chef acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the flow of day-to-day kitchen operations through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.

The Role

We want to work with people who are committed to going above and beyond in customer service. Those with a friendly, outgoing personality that is appropriate for a childcare center environment, as well as those with experience with children, will be given special consideration.

You will need to have a tidy appearance and respectful manners.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliveries

• Load vans according to delivery manifests; assist fellow drivers in the loading process
• Follow the route and schedule as stated to ensure on-time deliveries

Vehicle Maintenance and Cleaning

• Maintaining clean vehicle and cargo spaces daily
• Fleet preparation works as assigned
• Reporting issues or the appearance of warning lights immediately
• Every day, inspect functional lights and signals, as well as wear and tear

Delivery Equipment Returns

• Clean delivery bags and cambro equipment thoroughly
• Storing/organizing delivery equipment so that it is ready for use the next day

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)
• 3+ years of driving or work-related experience is preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Successful candidates will be required to submit their information for a background check & may require a medical assessment
• Excellent physical condition: able to lift heavy loads (50+ lbs)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in a daycare setting would be an asset.
• Able to calmly assess problems and determine sensible solutions
