Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years as a Boring Mill Machinist or in a similar precision machining role.
• Experience setting up and operating horizontal boring mills or similar large-scale CNC machining equipment.
• Experience with CNC controls, including Fanuc and Heidenhain, is considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal boring mills to produce precision tooling components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD designs, specifications, and work instructions.
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding equipment.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to optimize performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Perform boring, milling, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations as required.
• Work with large and complex components while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate tooling or equipment concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow customer specifications, quality standards, and lean manufacturing practices.
