The City of Thunder Bay is seeking two full-time Plant Electricians for the Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). You will maintain and test electrical systems, participate in the facility maintenance program, and plan upgrades with a focus on reliable treatment and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a Grade 12 and a Red Seal (442A or 309A) with PLC/SCADA experience. The role offers a stable daytime schedule, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits in Thunder Bay.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent per Ministry guidelines.
• Red Seal Industrial Electrician (442A) or Red Seal Electrician – Construction (309A) & Maintenance.
• Experience with PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Fire Alarm Endorsement desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Plant’s maintenance system and recommend changes.
• Install, repair, maintain, and test electrical fixtures and control equipment.
• Procure equipment and spare parts as needed; manage inventory.
• Provide lead duties as Operator or Lead of Electrical when required.
