Job summary

Alexandria Moulding Calgary Distribution Center is seeking a Distribution Center Employee (Afternoons) to support our lumber distribution operations. You will pick, pack and prepare orders for delivery, operate lift truck equipment, and ensure accuracy within the contractual time frame.

You will verify SKUs, labels and quantities, document orders, assist with cycle counts, and communicate challenges to the supervisory team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have minimum one year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience is desirable and helpful.
• Basic math and analytical skills are required.
• Be computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Self-starter, proactive and able to take initiative.
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties as required.
• Understanding and willingness to maintain HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Pick, organize and verify orders for delivery.
• Utilize appropriate lift truck equipment to prepare customer orders.
• Ensure accuracy and completion of orders within the contractual time frame.
• Verify quantities, lot numbers and item descriptions for orders.
• Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports.
• Document and label all orders correctly (orders, packaging details, shipping labels).
• Wrap and cap pallets of merchandise.
• Pick customer orders using RF scanner to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with internal cycle counts.
• Ensure accurate shipping when using transportation systems.
• Ensure accurate labeling on items being shipped.
