Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Distribution Center Employee for the Calgary Distribution Center to support day shifts. You will perform order picking, loading, unloading, sorting, staging and moving products with RF scanners and lift equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of warehouse experience, basic math skills, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. We offer comprehensive benefits, a pension plan, EFAP, wellness programs, and team events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year warehouse distribution experience.
• Prior lumber experience desired.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.
• Must be computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Self-started, pro-active and able to take initiative.
• Basic familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work duties as required.
• Understanding and willingness to maintain HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Pick, organize and verify orders for delivery.
• Utilize lift truck equipment to prepare customer orders.
• Ensure accuracy and completion of orders within the contractual time frame.
• Verify quantities, lot number and item description of each item.
• Identify and read tickets, SKUs, UPC labels and reports.
• Document and label all orders with packaging details and shipping labels.
• Wrap and cap pallets of merchandise.
• Pick customer orders using RF scanner.
• Assist with internal cycle counts.
• Ensure accurate shipping when using transportation systems.
• Ensure accurate labeling on items being shipped.
• Communicate with supervisory team about daily workload challenges.
• Other duties as assigned.
