Job summary

A local government organization is seeking a Day Camp Coordinator to lead an energetic summer camp team in Central Ontario. You will mentor staff, ensure safety, and facilitate engaging activities for children and youth. Key qualifications include being a college/university student and experience with children. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $19.36 per hour for a duration of approximately 4 months starting April 29, 2026, until September 4, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of post-secondary education related to Recreation or Child and Youth Worker.
• Must obtain Standard First Aid with CPR Level C by July 4, 2026.
• Knowledge of child development and sports.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and motivate staff volunteers in a summer camp setting.
• Organize camp activities ensuring safety and inclusion.
• Complete incident reports and maintain attendance records.
