Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a data center construction program in Calgary. You will drive client engagement, manage scope, schedule, and budget, oversee CSA & MEP coordination, and uphold safety and quality standards across all trades.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of site-based PM experience, including data centers, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and risk.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of site-based project management experience.
• At least 2 years in data centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA and MEP.
• Experience with QA and safety protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and align on goals.

• Maintain risk registers and issue logs.
• Coordinate with client operations to minimize disruption.
• Lead contractor meetings and follow up on actions.
• Support Project Lead in stakeholder communication and issue resolution.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and track contractor submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
• Prepare and submit timely reports including daily logs, weekly updates, and monthly progress summaries.
• Maintain and update the project risk register and issue logs.
• Coordinate closely with client operations and other stakeholders to minimize disruption during construction.
• Facilitate contractor meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
• Support the Project Lead in stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and strategic decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,or Construction Management; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in site-based project management, at least 2 years in data centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA and MEP
• Experience with quality assurance and safety protocols.
• Able to work under pressure
• Capable of interpreting technical regulations, permits, and environmental standards to assess compliance and identify potential risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing detailed reports, interacting with stakeholders, and Advanced verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $275K - $300K CAD per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
