One of our Public Sector clients is looking for a Database Development & Support - Database Administrator for a contract opportunity in Regina.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Oracle and MS SQL databases, including creation, deletion, maintenance, backup, and restore operations.
• Assist application developers and technical staff with database-related issues and technical functionality.
• This role may require shift work, including Saturdays, Sundays, evenings, and holidays.

Mandatory Education:

• Degree or Oracle / Microsoft SQL Server certification.

Desired Education:

• Oracle OCP or OCA, MS SQL Server certified professional.

Mandatory Experience:

• At least 10 years of experience with Oracle (9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, OEM 12c, OID 11g).
• At least 5 years of experience with SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 SP1, 2014).

Desired Experience:

• Experience with AIX and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Idera SQL Diagnostic Manager.
• Experience with Lotus Notes.
• Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c.
• Experience with Oracle OID.
• Familiarity with Putty.
