Required Skills:
  • Data Quality (DQ): Work with stakeholders such as Lead Data Stewards, Data Stewards, and other data practitioners to ensure high data quality. Serve as the subject matter expert for DQ.
  • Quality Monitoring: Create, support, and monitor automated reports to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve findings promptly.
  • Data Quality Investigations: Analyze issues, recommend corrective actions, and evaluate root causes for remediation.
  • Data Transformation: Validate data between legacy and cloud systems during business transformation projects.
  • Data Quality Reporting: Develop mechanisms for ongoing DQ monitoring and analysis to improve organizational data quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with teams to refine and implement data quality processes and requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Support: Provide data quality assurance and maintain documentation to share knowledge.
  • Tools & Compliance: Expertise in Collibra DQ tool management; must be Protected-B Clearance ready, obtained from the RCMP.
  • Experience in data profiling, cleansing, and related activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with platform and business teams to implement data quality initiatives, establishing a strong data quality foundation.
  • Investigate, correct, and prevent data issues as part of DQ Issue Management.
  • Create and validate DQ standards, rules, and policies, ensuring adherence across teams.
  • Develop standards, procedures, and templates for DQ implementation, including registration and control processes for critical data elements.
  • Embed DQ processes within tools like Collibra, supporting testing, monitoring, and remediation activities.
  • Support business teams in using DQ tools and ensure cohesion and adherence to data governance standards.
