GoMaterials, a fast-growing startup in Montreal, seeks a Data Quality Intern to ensure supplier inventory data is accurate and well-organized across internal systems. You will standardize formats, fix errors, and align data with company standards while gaining practical experience in a dynamic team.

Currently pursuing a degree in data science or related field, you will work with Excel, spreadsheets, and databases, communicating in English (French is a plus) and potentially joining full-time

• Pursuing a degree in data science, business analytics, supply chain, operations management, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for organizing and cleaning data.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate).
• Comfortable with spreadsheets, databases and data entry.
• Strong English communication; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review supplier inventory uploads (Excel/CSV) for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Support standardization and update of supplier data across internal systems.
• Identify duplicates, missing values, or misclassified products and propose corrections.
• Ensure product and plant details match categories, packaging types, and size terms.
• Execute data imports and updates in HubSpot and internal databases.
• Collaborate with Supplier and Operations teams to keep data processes current.

About the role

As a Data Quality Intern at GoMaterials, you'll play a hands-on role in ensuring that our supplier inventory data is accurate, consistent, and well-organized in our internal systems. You'll work closely with our team to standardize formats, identify and correct errors, and keep information aligned with company standards. Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining clean, organized data are essential for success in this role. Key Responsabilities

• Review supplier inventory uploads (Excel/CSV) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GoMaterials' standards (naming conventions, categories, formatting).
• Support the standardization and update of supplier inventory data across internal systems.
• Assist in identifying duplicates, missing values, or misclassified products and propose corrections.
• Help ensure that product and plant details are correctly matched to categories, packaging types, and size terms.
• Execute data imports and updates in HubSpot and our internal databases.
• Collaborate with the Supplier and Operations teams to keep data processes consistent and up to date.

Skills & Competencies

• Currently pursuing a degree in data science, business analytics, supply chain, operations management, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail with an interest in organizing and cleaning data.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate level).
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and data entry.
• Strong communication skills in English (French is a plus).
