As a Senior Manager, supported by the Director Data & Innovation, you will materially influence the ongoing development of TELUS' business innovation focused on becoming a trusted partner to the business to enable the growth of the business along with the development, deployment, and use of new digital technologies.

You will support the growth of the program by building a thriving and respectful data program and be a champion for data, trust and innovation and you will advocate for TELUS' Trust Model as the fundamental driver for all of our decisions around data, recognizing how critical customer and team member trust is to TELUS' mission.

You will be an integral part of our team and will bridge your creative ideas with business objectives to enhance and sustain our first-class data program. In doing so, you will be instrumental in advancing our reputation for being trustworthy, using a responsible human-centric approach to ensure that we use data to deliver remarkable business and social outcomes, always in a manner that demonstrates TELUS' commitment to putting our customers and communities first.

What you'll do

  • Engage and lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions to enable business ambitions and enhance data privacy.
  • Execute strategic data initiatives by becoming a trusted partner to business units in deploying technology responsibly and ethically.
  • Develop the design and documentation of processes that standardize consent best practices and support an agile development methodology.
  • Agility to meet the changing needs of the organization, and a fast-paced ambitious team, where priorities shift but the focus on the mission is steadfast.
  • Evaluate and report on the performance of the program using established success metrics

  • Known for your ability to influence and negotiate effectively, to be a persuasive advocate, and known for your conflict resolution skills with a focus on win-win solutions.
  • Sought out for excellent communication skills, verbal & written, with the ability to present information at all levels of the organization and leadership forums.
  • Post-secondary education
  • 5-7 years of experience in applying privacy law and principles
  • International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certification or willingness and ability to become certified within 6 months
