Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada in Ontario is seeking a Data Analyst for a 4-month winter 2027 student placement. You will help deliver high-quality data assets and support data governance, using Python, SQL and Tableau to ensure robust, well-documented processes.

You will collaborate on data quality, reporting enhancements, and build automated monitoring, validation, and governance capabilities with guidance from the team.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
• SQL and Python programming experience.
• Experience with data management and visualization tools.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Critical thinking and ability to analyze and solve complex data related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the enhancement and maintenance of data assets.
• Assist in maintaining enterprise data governance documentation.
• Assist in the design, deployment and automation of data monitoring tools.
• Enhance reporting capabilities on data quality.
• Establish data validation processes to ensure reporting and analytics accuracy.
• Leverage AI to enhance data governance.
