Job summary

Sysco is seeking a data governance professional to improve data quality across the organization. The role focuses on developing data standards, governance processes, and monitoring controls for critical data assets, partnering with data owners, stewards, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities include defining data quality metrics, managing metadata in Alation, and delivering governance documentation and artifacts to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management.
• Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging.
• Proven ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data quality KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, and governance assessments.
• Design and implement data quality solutions including profiling, rules, and monitoring controls.
• Document data definitions, metadata, and governance artifacts across the organization.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and technical teams to resolve data quality issues.
• Use SQL, Python, Tableau, Cognos, and Excel to extract and report on data quality trends.
• Automate reporting and monitoring to support governance objectives.
