Job Description

The Data Governance Analyst will support the Data Governance Manager in the launch and operations of the Data Governance program at OTIP. This program will govern access to and use of data, document OTIP data assets and their relationships, and measure, monitor, and improve data quality.

As the Data Governance Analyst, you will support internal stakeholders to ensure key data assets are defined and described, and to ensure data quality rules are created and monitored. You will support and enhance Collibra's operation, creating and refining workflows, issuing inventories, and improving assets.

The core parts of your role will be to:

  1. Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Data Governance roadmap which aligns with OTIP’s Data Strategy.
  2. Document and maintain Data Governance policies and processes.
  3. Establish and maintain data quality rules within Collibra, based on business requirements, and monitor adherence to those standards.
  4. Work with Business and Data Stewards to ensure business glossary entries, data quality rules, and relationships between assets are added to Collibra.
  5. Ensure data sources are regularly monitored and data quality concerns documented and resolved.
  6. Support and improve Collibra and Profisee.
  7. Support Data Governance meetings with presentation development and note taking.
  8. Monitor issues and ensure they are resolved by communicating with stakeholders.
  9. Set up and manage simple workflows in Collibra.
  10. Provide education on Data Governance and related topics.
