The Senior Data Integrity Analyst plays a key role in supporting data integrity for identity management services in the healthcare sector, focusing on data quality and integrity of data contributed to the provincial EHR data assets. Responsibilities include conducting data integrity reviews of ADT data for the Provincial Client Registry (PCR/EMPI) and provider data for the Provincial Provider Registry (PPR).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary contact for data sources contributing to PCR and PPR, supporting data quality and error remediation related to PHI records.
  • Analyzing inbound records, performing record linking, unlinking, and merging.
  • Managing relationships with data sources and supporting their staff in data integrity tasks.
  • Providing training on data integrity tools and processes.
  • Investigating and resolving complex record issues, supporting onboarding of new data sources, and ensuring data quality standards are maintained.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure task completion and quality of service.
  • Mentoring new team members and maintaining ownership of assigned tasks and reports.
  • Supporting team efforts to reduce backlogs and improve data quality processes.
  • Making key decisions on patient record linking based on data analysis.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and data security to prevent breaches.

Qualifications for success:

Education and Experience:

  • College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management.
  • CHIMA designation is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of healthcare experience, preferably in a hospital or related organization.
  • Experience with PHI, privacy, and security regulations.
  • Knowledge of health information management systems and legislative boundaries in Ontario and Canada.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Performance metrics reporting.
  • Data quality analysis and process development.
  • Onboarding support for new data sources.
  • Privacy and security application on PHI handling.
  • Health information management and data analysis skills.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Understanding patient safety implications of data decisions.
