Job summary

Dragonfly Logistics Lab Inc. in Montreal is seeking a data engineering internship to support the design and maintenance of data warehouses and scalable ETL pipelines.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across Canada to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions, while ensuring data quality through validation and governance. Qualifications

  • Pursuing bachelor's or master's in data engineering/analytics
  • Proficient with SQL, ETL, and database management
  • Familiarity with Azure and AWS, Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Power BI, and DBT is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of databases, data warehouses, and scalable ETL pipelines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions
  • Implement data validation, cleansing, and governance processes to ensure data quality and reliability
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems and proactively address inefficiencies
  • Document data engineering processes, data models, and technical specifications to support platform adoption
  • Ensure compliance with data security standards and implement access controls where needed
  • The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data engineering, business analytics, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Python, or related language, for data transformation and analysis
  • Knowledge of SQL, ETL and database management
  • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies (Azure and AWS), Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Power BI and DBT is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy
  • Adaptable and effective in dynamic environments
  • Proactive and solution-driven mindset
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
