Job summary

Infotek Consulting Inc. in Toronto, ON, seeks an experienced Data Engineer with strong Python development skills to join a fast-paced Capital Markets trading floor on a 12-month on-site contract.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Finance and Technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable data pipelines, ETL processes and UI components, and to deliver data-driven solutions.

• 7+ years of Data Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform data extraction, profiling, transformation, and validation.
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines.
• Build scalable Python-based solutions.
• Participate in end-to-end solution design and delivery.

• Create technical documentation and solution designs.
• Participate in architecture and design review sessions.
• Work closely with development teams to implement scalable solutions.

Location: Toronto, ON (On-site - 5 days/week)

Contract: 12 Months

Start Date: August 2026

Rate: $70 Up to $90/hr Inc. based on experience

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong Python development skills and experience working within Capital Markets or Front Office Trading environments.

This is not a traditional back-end Data Engineering role. The successful candidate will work directly with business stakeholders on a fast-paced trading floor, translating business requirements into data-driven UI solutions while helping design and deliver scalable data solutions.

This position requires excellent communication skills, strong business engagement, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
