Job summary

DarkVision Technologies Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Imaging & AI team in North Vancouver. You will contribute to multiple data pipelines that support operational intelligence, underpin ML models, and feed client reports.

You will bridge data analysts, ML models, and actionable insights for internal and client use. The role focuses on robust pipeline architecture, data lineage, and scalable transformation logic to enable reliable reporting and analysis across terabyte-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience writing production code as part of a team.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proficiency in Pandas, Polars, or similar.
• Experience with Git/GitHub or other source control tools.
• Experience with a cloud infrastructure platform (preferably AWS).
• Strong communication skills to present complex technical problems to senior non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Build and optimize pipelines that power reporting and visualization deliverables.
• Pipeline Validation and Report Integrity: Design and implement rigorous testing and validation processes for rendering and reporting pipelines.
• App/Dashboard Development: Build and maintain small internal applications and dashboards for internal data access and report generation.
• Information Visualization: Automate the rendering pipeline for 2D and 3D visuals translating acoustic data into client-facing insights.
