Job summary

REW.ca in Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to wrangle real estate data, build scalable data infrastructure, and support analytics. This is a 12-month contract for 2027 with possible start in December 2026.

You will join a small team, respond to upstream changes, optimize ETL pipelines, and own end-to-end data flows from requirements to data quality.

The role requires Python, SQL, ETL, and cloud experience (AWS or GCS), with at least one year in data engineering and a CS degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of professional experience with data engineering/analysis and big data tech stacks.
• Bachelor of Computer Science, similar technical degree or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Python or similar language for data processing with exposure to other scripting and object-oriented programming languages
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and technologies
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in relational database development and data modelling
• Proven experience in AWS, GCS or similar cloud providers.

We’re searching for a highly-motivated Data Engineer to help our Data Team wrangle real estate data, build sustainable infrastructure, and support analytics. We are hiring for a 12-month contract role for the year of 2027. Availability to start early in December 2026 would be a plus!

Data is at the heart of everything we do at REW. Every day, our platform ingests feeds from dozens of sources to compile, composite and augment the listings that thousands of homeseekers search through in their quest for the perfect home.

You would join a small team in evolving REW’s existing data platform. Your role may include responding to upstream changes from some of our feed providers, optimizing performance to respond to increased demand or troubleshooting integrity issues.

As you grow in the role, you’ll earn the opportunity to take on more complex problems and own all aspects of developing end-to-end data flows, including gathering requirements, data modeling, ETL script development and data quality control.

We support work on an agile data platform built on the cloud utilizing big-data tools to extract, transform and load data from a variety of sources. Our Data Engineers act as key technical resources, participating in architectural design, developing robust, reliable workflows and ensuring data accuracy and availability.
