As the Senior Engineer, Digital Platform, you will design and implement scalable analytics systems across our digital properties, lead the development of a robust server-side tracking framework, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop measurement plans aligned with our business objectives across digital experiences. THE ROLE

As the Senior Engineer, Digital Platform, your responsibilities include:

1. Designing and implementing scalable analytics systems across Aritzia's digital properties, focusing on web and mobile platforms (e.g., iOS, React Native), establishing best practices for tracking infrastructure, data collection, and documentation.
2. Leading the development of a robust, server-side tracking framework, integrating with APIs and data pipelines for real-time insights and scalable event handling.
3. Partnering with cross-functional teams to develop clear measurement plans, ensuring tracking aligns with business goals across digital experiences.
4. Leveraging first-party data and server-side activation strategies to enhance customer insights, advertising effectiveness, and personalization.
5. Integrating customer consent and privacy preferences into web and app experiences, ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR and CCPA, while maintaining data integrity.
6. Supporting advanced segmentation, experimentation, and journey orchestration to optimize customer experiences across platforms.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with digital analytics implementation across web and mobile platforms, including telemetry, event tracking, and tag management systems.
• Deep understanding of server-side tracking, APIs, cloud functions, or event hubs.
• Familiarity with customer data activation workflows, including data collection, enrichment, and real-time audience delivery.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, React/React Native, and telemetry implementation.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with structured data for analysis, QA, and validation.
• Understanding of privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA, especially regarding mobile consent management and cookie governance.
• Experience working within agile teams to deliver iterative, data-driven improvements.
• Preferred experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or omni-channel retail.

THE COMPENSATION
