Job summary

Legal Aid BC is seeking a Data Analyst in Vancouver to transform data into actionable insights. The role focuses on defining data elements, modeling data, and maintaining data architecture across systems, while producing value-add BI reports.

You will design dashboards, translate complex findings for non-technical stakeholders, and advance the centralized BI program with ongoing testing and improvements. A strong data background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years’ related experience including data analytics and reporting.
• Advanced working knowledge of reporting systems (SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports and/or MicroStrategy).
• Advanced MS Excel.
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience using Power BI.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Data warehouse and ETL tools.
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence.
• Technical competencies:

Responsibilities

• Define and validate data elements and data structures; develop subject area models.
• Maintain data architecture artifacts for multiple systems and data lineage charts.
• Collect, process, and perform analyses on metadata; provide actionable insights.
• Define and maintain ETL scripts to load data into data warehouse.
