Job summary

Our Client is seeking a BI Analyst to design, develop, and optimize Power BI solutions that turn large, intricate datasets into compelling visual stories, enabling data-driven decisions for Alberta's public services.

You will design dashboards, analyze data trends, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical projects; experience with large datasets, DAX, and SQL is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential for presenting insights to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Power BI, including visualization techniques, data modeling, and DAX.
• Strong analytical skills with experience working on large and complex datasets.
• Experience in trend analysis, forecasting, and predictive analytics using Power BI and Azure analytics tools.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical findings for non‑technical audiences.
• Experience in SQL for data transformations and querying large‑scale environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of government data sets or working in a regulated environment is advantageous.
