BC Securities Commission in downtown Vancouver is seeking a full-time Data Analyst in the Technology and Projects Services (TAPS) Division to analyze, collect, prepare, store, and transform data for BI and analytics.
You will develop SQL queries, build Power BI dashboards, work with Azure data services and Microsoft Purview, ensure data governance, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.

BCSC is currently seeking a full-time innovative, technically advanced, and detail-orientated Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in our Technology and Projects Services (TAPS) Division.
The Data Analyst is a technology expert who specializes in analyzing, collecting, preparing, storing, and creating electronic data. The successful candidate will participate in all day-to-day data support functions including: Business Intelligence (BI) support, governance, ad-hoc reporting requests, developing user dashboards, and projects. In addition, you will work with internal and external data sources for the purpose of analyzing, cleaning, answering questions on results of analysis, and preparing data based on defined use cases to be used in advanced analytics.

The salary range for this position is $86,097 (minimum) - $111.814 (midpoint) - $137,531 (maximum).
The starting salary for this position will be determined considering the successful candidate’s relevant experience and education, salaries of other employees in the same salary range, market conditions, and other relevant factors. Starting salaries are normally below the salary band midpoint.
