Job summary

BC Securities Commission in downtown Vancouver is seeking a full-time Data Analyst in the Technology and Projects Services (TAPS) Division to analyze, collect, prepare, store, and transform data for BI and analytics.

You will develop SQL queries, build Power BI dashboards, work with Azure data services and Microsoft Purview, ensure data governance, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience with SQL and data analytics required.
• Experience with SQL Server tools (SSIS/SSRS) and Azure data services.
• Strong ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, data models, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Create Power BI dashboards and data visualizations for decision-making.
