In this role you will :
- Become a local expert and superuser of our standard dashboards and tables, understanding the data landscape inside and out.
- Manage and triage requests coming through various inbound channels including Slack and Zendesk, ensuring efficient routing and resolution.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to data inquiries using tools such as Tableau and Google Sheets to generate tables and charts where appropriate.
- Host regular office hours for people and recruiting stakeholders, offering guidance and support in navigating our data resources.
- Support the creation of recurring reports and presentations, including data pulls and formatting for recurring slide decks and other consistent needs.
- Perform evergreen and consistent data-related activities, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role :
- Bachelor's Degree or years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Analytics.
- A customer-service-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical data concepts into clear and understandable language for non-technical audiences.
- Solid proficiency in Google Sheets, including performing calculations, creating pivot tables, and developing insightful visualizations.
- Experience with Google Slides and a keen eye for robust formatting and presentation.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools for exploring data.
- A foundational understanding of basic statistical concepts.
An ideal candidate also has :
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data querying.
- Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and analysis.
