Saputo Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our dairy production team and oversee daily operations for quality, safety, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness in processing and packaging.

The role reports to the Production Manager and requires strong leadership, data‑driven decision making, and the ability to manage a rotating day afternoon shift. SAPuto values teamwork and continuous improvement across its Canadian operations.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in Food Sciences, Dairy Technology, Microbiology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ progressive dairy or food manufacturing experience.
• Thorough knowledge of dairy operations with emphasis on processing and sanitation.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, preferably in a unionized environment.
• Self-motivated, results oriented, with initiative and resilience under pressure.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office; analytical and organized.
• Available to work a monthly rotating shift (day and afternoon).

Responsibilities

• Leads production employees and oversees day‑to‑day operations to meet quality, safety, efficiency, and cost targets.
• Schedules equipment and personnel to meet production requirements.
• Uses operational data to monitor trends and communicate improvements to management.
• Maintains procedures and notices for senior management and aligns with QA/Technical Services.
• Coordinates with Maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure product safety and quality.
• Manages inventories, reviews daily sales projections, and ensures product stock.
• Oversees recruitment, performance management, time and attendance, and labour planning.
