About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled and dedicated Dairy Farm Manager to oversee their modern dairy operation in the Kimberley region. This position is responsible for the daily management of the dairy herd, including milking operations, animal health, nutrition, breeding programs, and overall farm efficiency. You will lead a team of dairy workers, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, milk quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in dairy farming, a strong understanding of herd health and management, and a commitment to operational excellence and sustainable practices, contributing significantly to the farm's success and the quality of its dairy products.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the dairy herd, including milking schedules, hygiene, and milk quality control.
• Oversee animal health programs, including vaccinations, disease prevention, and treatment.
• Develop and implement effective feeding and nutrition plans for the herd.
• Manage breeding programs to optimize reproductive performance and herd genetics.
• Supervise and train dairy farm staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Dairy Farm Manager or in a senior dairy herd management role.
• In-depth knowledge of dairy cow health, nutrition, and reproduction.
• Experience with milking systems, parlor management, and milk quality standards.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Familiarity with dairy farm record-keeping and management software.
• A relevant qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, or Dairy Technology is preferred.
