Job summary

Gracemar Farms Ltd. in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a Livestock Foreman for the Dairy Division to manage and supervise daily dairy cattle operations.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of farm experience, knowledge of cattle health issues and husbandry, and the ability to lead a team, work nights and weekends, and provide health-condition reports on cows and milking- equipment sterilization.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in farm setting, specifically dairy cattle operations.
• Good understanding of cattle health problems and husbandry.
• Able to handle large herds and breeding programs.
• English language knowledge considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily farm duties and supervise dairy staff.
• Provide daily reports on health and condition of dairy cows.
• Follow Government Dairy regulations in sterilizing milking systems.
• Be available to work nights and weekends.
