Mine Equipment Operators

The Mine Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe operation and basic maintenance of Côté Gold's equipment, working collaboratively to execute the plan and schedule.

We are specifically seeking Operators qualified on the following equipment:

• D65 Drill

Key Responsibilities

Area 1: Safe and reliable equipment operation

• Maintain and operate equipment according to safety standards.
• Perform regular safety checks, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Ensure proper equipment positioning and safety during operation.
• Keep equipment exterior and interior clean and safe.
• Identify faults and troubleshoot as needed.

Area 2: Operational excellence

• Engage in continuous learning and skill improvement.
• Identify and communicate inefficiencies or problems.
• Utilize the MineStar GPS system for autonomous operations.
• Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Consider risks across throughput, time, quality, sustainability, and cost.

Area 3: Collaboration for operational reliability

• Coordinate with team members to meet shift goals.
• Mentor and train new team members.
• Communicate effectively and maintain accurate logs.
• Report deficiencies promptly.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams supporting community and environmental commitments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent.

Work Experience

• At least 6 months of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Equipment maintenance experience is an asset.

Additional Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Heavy equipment operator training is an asset.
