Mine Equipment Operators

The Mine Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe operation and basic maintenance of Côté Gold's equipment. They work collaboratively to execute the operational plan and schedule.

We are specifically seeking operators qualified on:

• D65 Drill

Key Responsibilities

Area 1: Safe and reliable equipment operation

• Maintain and operate equipment per safety standards.
• Perform regular safety checks, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Ensure proper equipment positioning during operation.
• Keep equipment clean and safe.
• Identify and troubleshoot faults.

Area 2: Operational excellence

• Engage in continuous learning and improvement.
• Seek to enhance skills.
• Monitor for inefficiencies and issues.
• Share problems and solutions with the team.
• Utilize MineStar GPS for autonomous operations.
• Collaborate to troubleshoot.
• Consider risks across throughput, time, quality, sustainability, and cost.

Area 3: Collaborative work for operational reliability

• Coordinate with team members to meet shift goals.
• Mentor and train new operators.
• Participate actively in team efforts.
• Communicate effectively.
• Maintain accurate logs and report deficiencies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams supporting community and environmental commitments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Nice-to-Haves:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 6 months of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Maintenance experience is a plus.

Additional Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license.
• Heavy equipment training is an asset.
