Job summary

The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 CE & Power Platform Developer to join an Agile team. You will help consolidate business-critical CRM applications into a modern platform and contribute to a major enterprise transformation with national impact.

This specialized role requires hands-on development and configuration of Dynamics 365 CE, with strong C#/.NET and API integration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a technical college diploma in CS or related field; an equivalent combination may be considered.
• Minimum three years of qualifying, full-time professional experience within the last five years.
• Solid ability to configure Dynamics 365 CE entities, forms, views and security permissions.
• Experience creating, modifying and maintaining C#/.NET web apps, with integration to other systems via web services and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and version control practices.

• Contribute to enterprise transformation by consolidating CRM apps into a modern Dynamics 365 platform.

Screening criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

Bachelor degree in Computer Science from a recognized University or a Technical College diploma in Computer Science or related field.

An equivalent combination of education and direct experience may be considered.

For each of the experience criteria below, candidates must demonstrate a minimum of three (3) years / 36 months of qualifying, full-time professional experience within the five-year period immediately preceding the closing date of this competition.

Only qualifying professional experience will be counted. Academic projects, learning projects, training, certifications, personal projects and proof-of-concept work do not qualify. Overlapping periods of employment or project work will be counted only once.

*Significant Experience is defined as a minimum of three (3) years / 36 months of qualifying, full-time professional experience within the last five years- only experience gained within the five-year period immediately preceding the closing date of this competition will be considered.

Reliability Status

For a Reliability Status, verification of background information over a period of 5 years is required.

Candidates will be assessed on the basis of the following criteria:

• Solid ability to configure entities/tables, forms, views and security permissions in Dynamics 365;
• Solid ability to create, modify and maintain C#/.NET web applications, including integration with other systems through web services and APIs;
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio or a similar IDE, including version control best practices;
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
