J.D. Irving, Limited’s IT team in Atlantic Canada invites a Co-op Student to join as an IT Cyber Security Analyst. You will work with a dynamic team of IT professionals on real security projects and gain hands-on experience with leading-edge technologies in IT security.

Qualifications

• Enrolled and in good academic standing in a relevant Bachelor's program (CS/SE/CE/IS).
• Interest in technology and IT security is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with IT security.
• Contribute to projects supporting multiple lines of business.
• Assist in management of IT security tools and activities including phishing tests, data loss investigations, incident handling, security analytics and reporting, and security access requests.

TheCo-op Studentwill work with a dynamic team of IT professionals within JDI IT as an IT Cyber Security Analyst. The successful candidate will be given increasingly challenging assignments to analyze business requests and implement solutions. During the term the Co-op Student will gain exciting experience with a variety of leading-edge technologies in the field of IT Security.

Responsibilities

• Hands on experience with IT Security
• Opportunity to work on projects and changes supporting multiple lines of business

• Hands on and practical experience in management of IT security tools and activities including but not limited to:
• Phishing Tests
• Data Loss Investigations
• Incident Handling
• Security Analytics and Reporting
• Security Access Requests
