NBCC is seeking an IT Security Analyst to strengthen cybersecurity across NBCC campuses. The role focuses on threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security awareness, with collaboration across IT and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a cybersecurity/IT background, relevant certifications, and a proven ability to communicate security concepts to stakeholders. NBCC supports flexible work arrangements where feasible.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field; or 2-year diploma with 4 years related experience.
• Industry-standard cybersecurity certifications are assets (CISSP/CRISC/CISM) or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Threat Detection and Mitigation: monitor network traffic, identify anomalies, respond to incidents; implement security measures and coordinate with vendors.
• Incident Response: develop and execute incident response plans; work with teams to contain and remediate breaches.
• Vulnerability Monitoring and Management: conduct regular assessments and pentests; suggest measures to mitigate weaknesses.
• Security Awareness: design and deliver awareness training for staff, faculty, and students.
• Policy Development and Compliance: create and revise cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: work with IT, management, and end-users to raise cybersecurity awareness.
