Job summary

Interac Corp. in Toronto invites students to join our Threat & Vulnerability Management team as a cybersecurity intern. You will learn about the cybersecurity landscape in Canada, monitor threats, and support investigations and reporting.

This role offers hands-on experience with industry tools and real-world threat intelligence. We value initiative, detail orientation, and strong communication. The internship runs January through April 2027, with a flexible hybrid work model and a downtown

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity/CS from a Canadian institution.
• SANS GIAC GCLD/GCDA/GCIA, CompTIA CySA+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
• Passion for cybersecurity and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity threats, trends and technologies.
• Foundational cybersecurity or networking experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn about cybersecurity threats and Interac’s role in Canada's financial ecosystem.
• Maintain awareness of evolving threats, trends and technologies.
• Conduct analyses and research on threats and vulnerabilities to inform decisions.
• Lead investigations with critical thinking to uncover insights.
• Create reports to communicate threat intelligence effectively.
