Job summary

Truefoam Ltd. is seeking a reliable Cutting Line Operator to join our production team in Newfoundland and Labrador. You will support the EPS cutting line, learn machine setup, handle materials, and perform basic tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup and handling materials for the EPS cutting line.
• Prepare materials and organize workstations for efficient production flow.
• Load/unload EPS blocks and ensure proper alignment.
• Label products for production traceability and package finished goods.
• Follow safety instructions and wear PPE at all times.
• Notify senior operators of any abnormal situations promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and learn machine processes for advancement.
• Perform other duties as defined by the Plant Manager.

Job description

Truefoam is seeking a reliable and motivated Cutting Line Operator to join our production team and support the operation of our EPS cutting line. If you're hands-on, safety-focused, and eager to learn in a manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is an asset but not required


• Skills: Ability to follow instructions and established procedures, attention to detail, ability to maintain a clean and safe work area, ability to adhere to safety standards, basic communication, willingness to learn production procedures, effective teamwork and communication, reliability and punctuality

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Cutting Line Operator supports the EPS cutting line by assisting with machine setup, handling materials, and performing basic production tasks under supervision. Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare materials and organize workstations to support efficient production flow.


• Load and unload EPS blocks onto/off the cutting table, ensuring proper alignment and handling.


• Label products according to production and traceability requirements.


• Package finished products for storage or shipping.


• Follow safety instructions and wear appropriate PPE at all times to maintain a safe work environment.


• Communicate any abnormal situations or issues to senior operators or Lead Operator promptly.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of obstructions and hazards.


• Observe and learn machine operation processes to build skills for future advancement.


• All other duties as defined by the Plant Manager.

Position Details

• Full-time, permanent position


• 40 hours per week working 8-hour rotating shifts (Days, evenings, and nights)


• Some overtime required


• Starting wage: $18.50/hour with room to grow
