Job summary

Polycorp Ltd. in Elora, Ontario, is seeking Press Line Operators to join our manufacturing team. You will safely operate presses, cranes and related equipment, load and unload rubber, and help maintain quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a team on rotating shifts. We offer competitive pay, shift premiums, comprehensive benefits and training to ensure safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined and able to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety rules.
• Understanding of quality principles for products and services.
• Team player with good communication with co-workers.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow press line schedule and routers.
• Ensure raw materials are stocked and ready for use.
• Load/unload rubber from presses using forklifts.
• Perform pre-use and in-process quality checks.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and document results.
• Label parts clearly and maintain clean work area.
• Maintain safety through daily pre-start inspections.

FULL-TIME PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBERS WANTED

The Press Line Operator (NOC 94112) is responsible for the safe operation of the compression presses, hot boxes, crane, walkie and hand tools such as knives and picks. It is their responsibility to make a quality product and maintain a safe work environment when loading and unloading rubber from the presses.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

While working in teams of multiple press operators:

• Priorities are: 1) work safely 2) good quality 3) meet or exceed required production numbers.
• Follow press line schedule and routers
• Ensure raw materials are stocked and ready for use
• Load / unload rubber from presses using forklifts
• Pre use audits, Quality load checklist audits, and quality in process checks.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and visual appearance and ensure documentation is correct. Any suspect parts are to be put aside for quality control verification.
• Trim parts so they are conforming for end use
• Label all parts clearly and accurately
• Ability to do the first off inspections
• Perform daily pre start inspections on cranes and forklifts for safety.
• Ensure weight of raw materials (prep) is correct prior to loading press
• Record all production data on appropriate forms
• Maintain good housekeeping of area
• Report all Health and safety issues immediately
• Wear all PPE required and work in a safe manner
• NCR's filled out properly with clear, accurate explanation
• Ensure the requirements of ISO 9001 and Polycorp's QMS are conformed with.
• All other duties as required.

We are looking for Pressline Operators to join our Team. The successful candidates will be responsible to help manufacture our product in support of our principles of safety, quality and on time delivery.

Please note:

Polycorp is not located on a bus route- own transportation is required. Candidates must be able to work rotating shifts every two weeks.
