City of Salmon Arm is seeking a Customer Service Representative for a full-time relief position in municipal services. The role involves greeting the public in person, online, and by phone, handling inquiries, processing applications and payments, and providing back-office support across departments.
The successful candidate will have Grade 12 with post-secondary in business or accounting, plus experience with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with municipal accounting software is a plus.

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and people‑focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in a full‑time temporary/relief capacity. This position term will be for four (4) months or until the return of the incumbent.
This position is at the heart of City Hall, greeting and assisting the public in person, online, and over the telephone. The Customer Service Representative responds to general inquiries about City business and operations, supports financial and accounting processes, maintains accurate records, and provides back‑up clerical support to City departments. Remuneration for this position is in accordance with the CUPE Local 1908 Collective Agreement, beginning at $32.42 per hour plus 14% in lieu of statutory holidays, benefits and vacation. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to join the union and pay union dues via payroll deduction.
