Job summary

Precast Concrete Products in Kelowna, BC is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Inside Sales to join their team. You will handle standard product sales inquiries, provide product knowledge, prepare quotations, and support the sales process with basic technical information.

As the first point of contact for visitors and calls, you will greet customers, direct them appropriately, and contribute to a positive office atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or College Diploma (technical discipline) an asset or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3+ years experience as Sales/Customer Service Representative would be considered an asset.
• Understanding of precast industry/manufacturing techniques is an asset.
• Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct all visitors and incoming calls, creating a welcoming office atmosphere.
• Provide product knowledge and basic technical information to customers.
• Produce quotations for contractors and consultants based on company marketing principles.
• Perform take-offs for quotes from civil and shop drawings as you learn.
• Respond to inquiries from clients, including contractors and consultants, by phone and email.

OUR CLIENT

On behalf of our established client, we are offering an opportunity as a Customer Service Representative/Inside Sales to join their wonderful team in Kelowna.

Our client is looking for a well organized, positive Customer Service Representative focused on providing optimal customer service and accurate and timely work product. The Customer Service Representative will ensure a quick response to standard product sales calls and learn to provide basic technical sales support to clients. This includes providing product knowledge, quotations, and recommendations in line with customer needs and specifications. As the first point of contact for all visitors and incoming calls, this position is also responsible for greeting and directing all customers accordingly and plays a key role in setting the atmosphere of the office.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• High School Diploma or College Diploma (technical discipline) an asset or equivalent work experience
• 1 – 3+ years previous experience as a Sales/Customer Service Representative would be considered an asset
• Understanding of the precast industry and knowledge of precast manufacturing techniques are considered strong assets
• Answer all phone and email inquiries from clients, including contractors and consultants
• Produce and provide quotations for contractors and consultants based on company marketing principles
• Provide initial customer interface through providing both product knowledge and basic technical information, as the customer requires
• Provide written, and occasionally verbal, quotations for standard precast products
• Learn to do take-offs for quotes from civil drawings and shop drawings
• Learn to provide technical information for design and installation of various types of civil projects
• Ability to achieve success and generate results, both on their own and through teamwork
• Must possess solid organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Above average computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within deadlines
• Computer aptitude with knowledge of SAP considered an asset
• Flexible and adaptable to change
