Job summary

Calgary Co-op is seeking a Customer Service Cashier to ensure friendly and efficient service while upholding company policies and safety standards. The role involves cashier duties, stocking, display maintenance, inventory tasks and adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities include handling customer inquiries, processing transactions, maintaining displays and assisting with ordering and paperwork as needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 9 or acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Related retail experience, including the provision of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service and maintains positive customer relations through the proper handling of customer merchandise, questions, comments, requests, and complaints.
• Performs all aspects of stocking and display functions in an efficient and organized manner.
• Handles merchandise ensuring quality, minimizing damages, markdowns and ensures price integrity including price changes.
• Performs general clean up duties such as cleaning spills and display fixtures to ensure a neat and organized department is maintained.
• Responsible for adhering to regulated laws. (i.e. age restriction)
• Operates the Customer Service Office checkouts and cash handling in an efficient manner if required.
