We’re seeking a passionate Customer Service and Sales Specialist to be the face of this new chapter and help shape the future of outdoor retail.
Position Overview
As the Customer Service and Sales Specialist, you'll lead the customer journey from discovery to delivery—ensuring each interaction reflects our commitment to innovation, quality, and exceptional service. This role is equal parts educator, guide, and experience curator in a hands-on, community-driven retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Scout Hub Management – Sales & Operations
- Deliver personalized, informative, and high-quality service to every customer, both in-person and through digital channels.
- Manage inbound leads via phone, email, chat, and SMS, and guide customers through the full sales journey—from inquiry to camper delivery.
- Build and maintain a strong customer pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and relationship management.
- Assist customers with financing applications and provide clear, supportive guidance throughout the process.
- Curate and maintain a visually appealing showroom by supporting merchandising and product presentation efforts.
- Handle transactions efficiently and accurately using the POS system, ensuring a smooth and professional checkout experience.
- Complete daily operational tasks, including opening/closing duties, reporting, and contributing to team briefings.
- Support store leadership in tracking sales goals, customer satisfaction, and operational benchmarks.
- Additional tasks as assigned by the leadership team
Community Engagement & Events
- Organize and support in-store events such as product demos, workshops, and customer meetups to build community and drive engagement.
- Partner with local outdoor brands, businesses, and organizations to co-host events and increase Scout's brand presence.
- Occasionally attend or support off-site events and activations to represent Scout Campers and connect with the wider outdoor community.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years in experiential retail, hospitality, or customer experience—ideally in outdoor, automotive, or lifestyle sectors.
- A proven track record of exceptional customer service and exceeding performance metrics.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and digital tools that enhance customer engagement.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative team mindset.
- Passion for the outdoors, overlanding, or off-grid adventure travel is a major plus.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and tools like SharePoint, Teams, and Asana.
- Willingness to travel for brand events and activations as needed.
Availability & Expectations
- Must be available on weekends, holidays, and select evenings for events.
- Flexibility to adapt schedule based on operational needs.
- Openness to take on new responsibilities as the Scout Hub grows and evolves.
